Community Pharmacy

Our Pharmacists can give you advice on a range of conditions and suggest medicines that can help.

They may also be able to offer treatment and prescribe medication for these conditions, without you needing to see a GP.

  • impetigo (aged 1 year and over)
  • infected insect bites (aged 1 year and over)
  • earache (aged 1 to 17 years)
  • sore throat (aged 5 years and over)
  • sinusitis (aged 12 years and over)
  • urinary tract infections (UTIs) (women aged 16 to 64 years)
  • shingles (aged 18 years and over)

You may also be referred to Pharmacy First, at your local Pharmacy, who can offer treatment and prescribe medication for some conditions.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.

To cancel your appointment:

Extended access appointments are available during evenings and Saturdays. The service is provided via South Downs Health Care. You'll need to contact your GP practice to request an appointment. Visit the South Downs Health Care website for more information.

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Please tell us:

  • If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone or face-to-face
  • If you need an interpreter
  • If you have any other access or communication needs
If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need. To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice as soon after 8:30am as possible on 01273 517000. You can also:
