The move to our new premises is very close now and we are excited to be able to offer you services in a brand-new bespoke health centre!
We are writing to update you on progress and to ask for your help with a couple of things, to make the move go as smoothly as possible.
The surgery will be closed from lunchtime on Thursday May 7th and will not reopen until Monday May 11th.
If you have any urgent queries in that time, please call the surgery’s phone number and you will be directed to a phone consultation service. We are afraid that we will not be able to offer any face-to-face appointments in that short time.
If you are unwell during that period, then please either:
- Call IC24 on 0300 555 5252
- Use the Lewes Victoria Urgent Care Centre, or the Walk in Centre in central Brighton
- Go to A&E if you are seriously ill.
If you take medicines regularly and will run out in the first two weeks of May, then please request them by May 1st, so that we can issue them before we close.
From May 11th, we will reopen for urgent matters only, until we have settled in and are sure that all our systems are working properly. If you need a routine appointment, these will take a bit longer to organise. We are very sorry for the delay, but we hope you appreciate the complexity of the situation – which will only last a few days, we anticipate.

Once we move, our phone number will stay the same, but we will be changing our name to Newhaven Medical Practice on 11th May. Our website will be changing, and we will be in touch with the details soon.
