Tirzepatide (Mounjaro)

You may have heard recently about the national decision to make available to NHS patients a weight loss drug called Tirzepatide – commonly known as Mounjaro.
This is not something that is available to all patients and there is some detailed national guidance that we are obliged to follow when it comes to determining who can have the drug under the NHS.
That guidance has only just reached us and we are now working our way through it to understand what it means and who is eligible for the drug.
Please could we ask you not to ask for an appointment to discuss the drug with our clinical staff. We will identify anyone who is eligible for the medication and contact you, to see if you would like to consider taking it.
