Where exactly is the practice?
The location is shown in the link below. Follow the arrows for a walking route from our current location to the new location.
The zig-zag walkway from the swimming pool side will reopen on May 5th.
Where do I park when I come to the practice?
Dacre Road car park (shown on the map) is right next to our new site.
There is free Disabled Parking for those with Blue Badges and free Parent/Toddler parking.
You can park your car in the car park for free for an hour (but please remember to get and display a ticket for this). In the unlikely event that you need to be at the surgery for between one and two hours, the charge is £1.25.
When is the move happening?
We open our doors to you on Monday May 11th.
Will the practice have the same phone number?
Yes, you will continue to call us on 01273-517000
Is it correct that the practice is changing its name?
Yes. Since we will no longer be located on Chapel Street, we will be changing our name to Newhaven Medical Practice.
Are services continuing as normal in the lead up to the move?
No. During the week commencing May 5th (after the Bank Holiday) we will reduce our capacity to take on new work, to give us the chance to get ready for the move. On Thursday May 7th the surgery will close at 1.00 pm. It will stay closed on Friday 8th May.
What happens if I am unwell during that 36 hour closure period?
If you have any urgent queries in that time, please call the surgery’s phone number and you will be directed to a phone consultation service. We are afraid that we will not be able to offer any face-to-face appointments in that short time period.

· Use the Lewes Victoria Urgent Care Unit or the Walk in Centre in central Brighton
· Go to A&E if you are seriously ill.
We are sorry for this disruption in service but we hope you can understand that we cannot maintain a full service and move to new premises at the same time.
