When is the move happening?
We open our doors to you on Monday May 11th.
Is it correct that the practice is changing its name?
Yes. Since we will no longer be located on Chapel Street, we will be changing our name to Newhaven Medical Practice.
Are services continuing as normal in the lead up to the move?
No. During the week commencing May 5th (after the Bank Holiday) we will reduce our capacity to take on new work, to give us the chance to get ready for the move.
On Thursday May 7th the surgery will close at 1.00 pm. It will stay closed on Friday 8th May.
If you need a repeat prescription, please request it by the end of Wednesday 6th, so we can issue it before we close on the 7th.
What happens if I am unwell during that 36 hour closure period?
If you have any urgent queries in that time, please call the surgery’s phone number and you will be directed to a phone consultation service. We are afraid that we will not be able to offer any face-to-face appointments in that short time period.
You may also:
· Call IC24 on 0300 555 5252
· Use the Lewes Victoria Urgent Care Unit or the Walk in Centre in central Brighton
· Go to A&E if you are seriously ill.
We are sorry for this disruption in service but we hope you can understand that we cannot maintain a full service and move to new premises at the same time.
